Stressed out?: The fact that you have been on birth control pills for years would imply stability, but something may be different this summer. Maybe a different generic of your usual pill, more stress in your life affecting you, significant changes in weight / diet / relationships. Hopefully, this is just a bump in the road, and you'll get back on track with the next couple of cycles...

Sometimes: This just happens, especially if the drugstore changed the brand of your generic. Don't worry about it. You should be fine. If it keeps up you may need a change of your pill. It is bothersome not dangerous nor a cause for worry of pregnancy
