A member asked:

How long should it take for a fever to break in a 9 month old?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fever: Fever is the body's way of fighting infection so it is not really a bad sign. Fever will break when a viral infection runs its course( 3 to 10 days) or when the bacterial infection succumbs to the antibiotic (24 to 72 hours). However, one should really be more certain what's causing a 9 month old's fever so a visit to the pediatrician might be a consideration. Good luck.
