Yellow tongue: You probably have a stained coating from buildup of plaque (dead cells, bacteria, food debris). Your own dentist can check on this for you just to be sure. Try using a tongue scraper every day.

Clean your tongue: Start by cleaning your tongue with a tongue scraper after each tooth brushing, twice a day. They are available in most drug stores. If you smoke, then stop. If tongue surface bleeds this could be candidiasis and requires professional evaluation and medication. If using tongue scraper fails to resolve problem after a week then also need to your dentist for an evaluation.
