How do i get poison ivy on my face?

Contact: Poison ivy is a contact dermatitis which means that the rash occurs any place that the oil of the plant touched. In some individuals this could be direct contact or through burning of yard debris that includes poison ivy plants. In this case the oil is air born and hence the facial contact and rash.

Your hands: You might have brushed against it with your face. Much more commonly you had the sap on your hands and then touched your face.
