No.: Spider and varicose veins may not look as obvious if you should lose weight but they will not go away. Varicose veins are due to malfunctioning (refluxing) valves in the saphenous system and , often times, spider veins may be due to the same problem. Weight loss will not change an underlying reflux problem. Spider veins may increase with weight loss. You should see a vein specialist.

Not really: They will not go away, but may become less noticeable with weight loss. Weight loss will reduce venous pressure and progression of varicose veins will be slower.

Varicose veins: Once the spider and varicose veins are present, they will not resolve with weight loss. However, the weight loss may prevent further varicose vein development.
