Varies: If you had a craniotomy 3 weeks ago and don't feel we'll contact your surgeon. This health care provider is the best person to evaluate your problem. We don't know why you needed a craniotomy and can't give you any answers without guessing.

Get it checked out: Anytime you have had a craniotomy and you do not feel well (particularly if there was a period post-operatively when you did feel well) you should have it checked out. When you inquire about temperature, you seem to be concerned about possible infection. You should have this checked out and examined. Don't forget that advil (ibuprofen) will suppress your temperature.

Further evaluation: A temperature greater than 101.3 is defined as a medical fever. However, given your circumstance of recent surgery, i would go to the er for further evaluation and potential management. There are multiple causes for fever after surgery, including lung collapse, blood clots in legs, urinary tract infection, or infection at surgical site.
