New to degenerative disc in c6, burning, tingling, weak arm. i take neurotin, elavil, and advil (ibuprofen) but my arm still hurts, i can barely type, write.

Ask your doctor: For a referral to a good physical therapist for traction and neck strengthening. Most pain syndromes due to disk herniation resolve or diminish. Very few require surgery. Be patient.

You need an : Evaluation to see if there is a nerve root compression in the cervical spine leading to your symptoms which may be managed non operatively or operatively depending on the clinical or examination findings and how they match imaging studies of the cervical spine with possible electrodiagnostic studies being indicated as well if imaging is not definitive. See a spine specialist or neurologist.
