This antidepressant : Is sedating and is often prescribed at night because of this, usually 30 mg. You should discuss this with your prescribing physician, however, since there are other sleep medications to consider. Note: trazadone is another antidepressant that is frequently prescribed for sleep.

Remeron (mirtazapine): Lower dose is more sedating, such as 15 mg. At bedtime, assuming it is prescribed for depression/sleep. Review with your doctor.
