Get seen now: There are a few aggressive infections that this could be that would be untouched by, or exacerbated by, the Ciprodex mixture.

Need more help : Otitis externa is very painful, so she probably needs pain rx to make her more comfortable. Ciprodex is an outstanding drug for this, but if the ear canal is too swollen, you can't deliver the drug. Most ent's would place a wick in the canal. This usually solves the problem. Unless your child is immune compromised, other aggressive infections are rare.
