Generally not: Check with your bariactic doctor. 2.5 cm. Is an inch , so the size of the nodules are about 1/4 of an inch. Important to follow up with repeat us as your doctor suggested.

Speak to doctor: Don't have to wait .You are more at risk from obesity than thyroid cancer ( even it is ca prognosis is very good most of the time ) , speak to your doctor , you can have sonogram guided fna (fine needle aspiration biopsy ) same wk you will know the result and proceed for your bariatric surgery., same 6 months will have better health and reaching your wt loss goal also.
