I have cirrhosis. is it possible to have ascites that doesn't show from physical exam. my navel leaks. no appetite. belly aches. could this be ascites?

If: The cirrhosis diagnosis is accurate and if the fluid that leaks is clear and yellowish color it is most probably ascites. But if the discharge is thick, smelly or there is a lump felt in the area go see you doctor as there are other possibilities some of them not the most pleasant ones...

Possibly dangerous!: If navel leaks, possibly cirrhosis but more common causes. One of the more common ones is a urachal sinus (an abnormal persistence of the duct from your bladder to your umbilical cord which was there to take urine away when you were in the womb). If your navel leaked before you got cirrhosis, that is a good possibility. In any case, the leak can be very dangerous so get a doc to see it asap!
