APC or PVC: Single strong beat once in a while is ok. It is common. You should be concerned when it is continuous, irregular or regular and causing palpitation. You have one reason of hypothyroidism to have it.Please read. Arrhythmia - http://doctorrajput.Com thanks.

May not be serious: Occasionally a heartbeat will stick out and make you aware of it. It may be unusually strong rather than irregular in rhythm. Twice in one month is not frequent. What are possibilities? Anxiety is one. Next is fatigue or lack of fluids. Caffeine can do it. Some decongestants too. Rarely it can be an irregular heartbeat. If it happens often, you can see it on an ekg.

PVC: You were right to go see your gp. Excess levothyroxine can cause hyperthyroidism which can lead to premature ventricular contractions (pvcs). Check out http://www.Mayoclinic.Com/health/premature-ventricular-contractions/ds00949 for more info.

Palpitation: This could be something called ventricular premature complexes. A lot of people have this. Nothing much to worry about unless its causing dizziness . I still recommend you see a doctor and get a baseline ekg and maybe a holter monitoring to rule out dangerous rhythm problems , which is not common.
