You can : But me mindful to drink fluids etc. Mono can make one tired and fatigued easily.

Possible: I would discuss this with the physician that restricted you. Mono can cause your spleen to enlarge, making it more likely to rupture if struck. This may be the reason you were restricted from contact sports. Certain isometric (i.e. Weight lifting) exercises can also significantly increase pressure in your abdomen. I discuss your specific regimen with your doc, and otherwise exercise cautiously.
