In hypokalemic peroidic paralysis, parentral kcl better given in ringer or mannitol?

Low K: Give it in ringers. Mannitol will induce diuresis, which i presume you do not want if k is already low.

Ringers: Mannitol precipitates easily so i would giv eit alone.
