Yes: After a hysterectomy, menstrual cramps & periods are absent. If the ovaries are left, reproductive symptoms related to hormone levels continue although the reduced blood supply to the ovaries may change hormone levels. This change may create other symptoms related to dysfunctional hormone levels.
