I have been on levlen (ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel) for 20 months or so and i have just decided to get off it yesterday. what side effects will i get?

Finish pack first: When a woman wants to stop bcp i recommend she finish out the pack she is on. If she stops in the middle of the pack she'll have a period then. Most women take 4-6 weeks to get back to their regular periods. Of course you will go back to how your cycles were before bcp - may be heavier and more painful. Don't forget to use another method of birth control if sexually active!
