I am not sure: A # of women have an episode of spotting early in pregnancy. Sometimes it can be related to miscarriage but many women go on to have a totally healthy pregnancy & baby. Please let your obstetrician know. Take care.

Implantation blood: If your HCG levels are rising and the pregnancy has been confirmed to be in the uterus, then there is little to worry about. It is not uncommon to experience bleeding between 4-6 weeks that we believe is related to "implantation" in the wall of the uterus. I hope that this helps and good luck!

Implantation bleed: Many women spot during the first part of their pregnancy. Often, the cause is from the placenta implanting into the uterus, which needs to occur in order for it to support the baby to full term. Other causes include infection or intercourse. It can still be worrisome, and so you should follow closely with your doctor. If you have cramping or an increase in bleeding, check in sooner.
