Is it true that the flap lasik procedure makes never truly heals in place and can be mover or lifted years after? lasik sites say yes, my dr says no.

Yes: It never heals with the same level of strength as it originally had--only a fraction, that's true. Yes, the flap can be lifted but it can become hard to see the edge over time. For folks who may get hit in the eye like those who play basketball or box, work in law enforcement it may not be the best option. However, for the vast majority of people it tends to be fine.

Both true: Both the lasik website and your doctor are correct. By one week, the flap has healed in place with significant strength. Over time, the strength can grow to be nearly as strong as the eye had been originally. However, I have lifted a flap that was done 21 years prior. It was quite difficult but possible. Lasik is fine except for soldiers, cops, boxers, etc that tend to get hit in the eye.
