Gentian violet/monis: Although gentian violet is effective locally for yeast and has been used in babies for thrush in the past before we had better alternatives, it is a little messy and makes a little coloured mess and can stain the clothes.You are usin Monistat lacally which is more effective and can be used on nipples and in vagina as well. That is my honest opinion.
