I have a burning pain in the upper left abdomen. i was picking up heavy items during a move. how do i know if it's a hernia? any home remedies?

Hard to say : Hernia can be hard to diagnosed at home. Burning usually goes w nerve type pain or ulcer. If it is a hernia, it tends to get bigger and needs to b fixed but u will have to c a physician to make the diagnosis.

Unussual: Place to have a hernia unless you had some abdominal hernia. You possibly pulled a muscle. If does not get better go see a physician. You may have a blood collection in the muscle as well especially if one is under anticoagulation treatment.
