A member asked:

Is it normal to pass large pieces of tissue during your period? one piece was about an inch long, light pink, another was larger

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Assume not normal: If you have never experienced this before, then you should assume that there might be something going on to explain this finding. First, you really need to check a pregnancy test. If this is negative, then you should contact your ob/gyn who will likely schedule an ultrasound to make sure your uterus looks normal. Old blood can sometimes look like "tissue". Good luck!
