Bowel obstruction: Your husband is admitted for inability to have a bowel movement. It could be a blockage from tumor ( benign or malignant), an entrapped bowel in a hernia, blockage from scar tissue if previous operations. If there is complete obstruction then the surgeon will be forced to operate. They may place an ng tube to decompress the bowel. Be well and ask if he can chew him if he needs operation.

Multiple reasons: Your husband is unfortunately going through multiple problems and it is difficult to give you any medical advice based on the limited information I have from your question. Please discuss with the doctor treating him about his general condition and clear all your doubts. I hope a faster and complete recovery for him.

Ask his doctors: Why don't you address these types of questions to the doctors who are caring for your husband? They are the ones who have the results of his tests and can give you a definitive answer.
