Serious infection: Not that simple MRSA is serious infection and public health concern , has to follow cdc guide lines to treat it , first if there is abscess necrotic tissue must be treated by drainage & debridement , Clindamycin , amaxacilline with tetracycline combination is frequently used combination. All depends c&s report . Discuss with your doctor.

Many: Mrsa is susceptible to vancomycin, Linezolid , septra/bactrim, doxycycline/tetracyclines, clindamycin, daptomycin and synercid (quinpristin and dalfopristin). Septra/bactrim, doxycycline/tetracyclines Clindamycin and Linezolid can be taken orally. Mrsa would be resistant to other antibiotics in current use.
