Heartache: Long ago before medicine was as advanced as now, when love was lost, chest pain with other signs of depression was called 'heart ache'. It may be that the sense of a broken heart continues. Of course do get a proper internal medicine/cardiology workup, but if that proves negative see a good psychotherapist and review the past with a helper.
