GERD: If you are overweight seriously look at a healthy weight loss plan. Insure you aren't eating a meal a minimum of 3 hours before bedtime. Avoid alcohol & carbonated beverages before bed. Avoid large meals. Don't wear clothes that fit you too tightly. Don't smoke. You need a wedge or to raise the actual mattress - one raised pillow is likely not adequate. Let your doctor know. Take care.
