A member asked:

Which gel is best for acne? benzoyl peroxide 2.5% or 5% or adalene and clindamycin gel?

Use both: Adapalene enhances the effectiveness of topical clindamycin. Maybe half of people with acne aren't cleared by benzoyl peroxide; as long as it's on your face only, the combination is likely to clear you up. If not, there are more options.

Acne: All of the medicines are safe and effective for acne. They work by different mechanisms and i often use all of them together. As topical agents, however they are weaker than internal antibiotics for cystic acne. And are often combined with them. Topical medicines can be irritating to the skin so their use and dose often have to be adjusted by your doctor.
