Acupuncture: I am an acupuncturist but i only do calming & balancing work with women in advanced pregnancy. I have a included a site that addresses your specific question: http://www.Yinyanghouse.Com/forum/braxton-hicks. The author indicated that he did not find needling that useful for this. I will send this question on to a colleague who is far more knowledgeable than i about this. Take care & congrats.

Yes: There are acupuncture points that can help quiet the uterus. The concern is whether at 26 weeks these contractions may continue on to being preterm labor. Keep your OB doctor well-informed.
