A member asked:

How will i know if it is acne on my face or facial allergy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Easy call: Allergy can usually be suspected by the history; a contact allergy has a distribution depending on the cause. Acne will produce blackheads and/or pustules; pus is unlikely with a contact dermatitis / allergy. You need to be aware that all acne is manageable though the disease is chronic and must remit on its own. If two weeks of benzoyl peroxide has not cleared you, get with your physician.
