Emergency!: A red, painful eye after sleeping with contact lenses is very worrisome for the development of a corneal ulcer (a very serious eye infection). You need to see your ophthalmologist today! if a cornea ulcer is present, prompt treatment is essential to limit potentially vision threatening damage.
