It's about hormones: I'm sorry you had to have a tube removed. Your ovary still functions independently of the 'plumbing.' it responds to your body's hormone levels and will still take turns with the other ovary making an egg each month, without an adjacent tube, the egg is not likely to be fertilized, travel down to the uterus and implant. If you have another ovary with tube near it, that side should work fine.
