No: Hives are common. 1 in 5 people gets them at some point in their lives. Generally, if not caused by food or drug or bee sting allergy, they are not a sign of a dangerous problem. Unless you have another underlying problem causing the hives, there should be no affect on the fetus. But make sure you tell your ob.
