Does anyone out there know how to deal with umbilical hernia without surgery?

Yes: An umbilical hernia has a higher risk of incarceration and strangulation of bowel. If you have a very small umbilical hernia, it usually doesn't need to be repaired. If your hernia is greater than 1 cm, i would advise consideration of elective repair, especially if it causes pain.
