Nail bed lesions: If you have a confirmed diagnosis of melanoma of the nailed usually by biopsy then unfortunately you will need aggressive surgical management by a hand surgeon urgently. If you have a painful dark lesion of the nail bed with a history of trauma or a small reddish painful lesion of the nail bed then these are non malignant issues best addressed by a hand surgeon.
