A member asked:

Why can't you drink alcohal when you have mono?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Liver toxicity: Since mono causes a mild inflamation of your liver, it is not able to efficiently deal with some of your toxic ingestions, ie.Alcohol, without incurring some additional liver injury. A single drink once in a while would not kill you, but you need to treat your liver with kindness during that illness.
