Maybe: Depth is only part of the factor in whether you will scar. The location and your genetic tendency also contribues. Massage with vit e oil, cocoa butter and Mederma to prevent a scar.

Open wounds = scar: Open wounds will heal with scar, surgeons attempt to reduce scar formation in their closure technique but can't prevent it. Lacerations on velar aspect of finger will usually heal with less scar as it is glamorous skin.
