A member asked:

If you break leg growth plate, will you be shorter when you are older?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Depends on which growth plate (which bone) and your bone age. The bone age (related to but not the same as chronological age) is the amount of time left that the skeleton is growing. If there is not much time left, the growth loss may not be apparent. Some growth plates contribute more to length than others.
