No: Only antifungals will kill fungal infections. Purchase otc terbinafine, lotrimin or any topical antifungal and apply as directed. You must also purchase a antifungal spray powder such as micatin or tinactin (tolnaftate) and spray your shoes you wear once a week to kill the fungal spores in your shoes to prevent reoccurrence. Triamcinolone is a topical steroid and will not kill the fungal infection.

Antifungal is better: Topical steroids cause the athlete foot become worse as they do not treat the infection component.

Please don't do it: You will relieve the symptoms, then make the fungus infection worse. Only if you are already using a strong antifungal and your infection is keeping you from sleeping should you consider something like this. Tolnafnate is a good over-the-counter fungus killer.
