Yes, major differenc: Stage 2 ovarian cancer(spread limited to pelvic area only has a much better cure rate(>50%) than with stage-3 Ovarian cancer which means it has spread into the belly). Stage 3 is the most common stage of presentation; this means high mortality rate, yet 25% to 30% of such women can expect to be cured with the proper use of modern chemotherapy combined with debulking surgery.
