Benign vs malignant: Irritable bowel syndrome is a chronic disease which causes symptoms on almost daily basis, no weight change, no cachexia Ovarian cancer is rapidly growing, painful growth in the abdomen, usually associated with ascites.IBS has stable symptoms and also periods where no active disease.BRCA1 & 2 genes increase the possibility of ovarian cancer.
