Current models of ultrasound machines can easily detect uterine fibroids. Ovarian cancer is a diagnosis made usually by a biopsy of a complex ovarian cyst. While an ovarian cyst can be detected with ultrasound, it takes a biopsy of a complex ovarian cyst to make a diagnosis of ovarian cancer.
