A member asked:

My husband and i have the same blood type. can it affect pregnancy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It shouldn't : In one way, having the same blood type is good for pregnancy. If the mother has a negative blood type and the father has a positive blood type, the mother typically needs to receive a medication to prevent her from forming antibodies against the baby's blood cells. If both are the same, this isn't a problem. Otherwise blood types shouldn't be a problem.
