Fibroid: Rule out pregnancy. Yes you can have more or less periods.

No: No fibroids may increase your menstrual flow or have little effect at all, but the will not stop your period. Delayed ovulation or pregnancy could do this. If pregnancy is a possibility, you may wish to check a pregnancy test.
