Not a lymph node?: Most people have at least one palpable lymph node in the neck. If it's just a tiny bit tender, isn't growing rapidly, isn't fixed to surrounding structure, and isn't stony-hard, and is less than an inch across, should be safe to ignore. A physician's office visit is in order otherwise.
