Bacteria risk: There a number of pathological microorganisms that live in ordinary seawater. I have been constantly amazed by the vast array of microscopic life in a single drop of ocean water. In fact a single drop can harbor over 1 million bacteria. It is best to allow your wound to heal completely to prevent an infection.
