Can i do kaleisthenics with sciatica?

Generally yes: Calisthenics are not likely to damage a pinched nerve root, and they may help. They may aggravate the pain as well, though. This is unlikely to be damaging, but will be uncomfortable, and you should stop if this occurs. The best option is to talk to your doctor and your physical therapist about the exercises you plan to do and whether they might help or make the pain worse.

This is a tough question to answer as it depends on what type of calisthenics you have in mind. It is important to distinguish between isometric calisthenics and those that require a range of motion for the back. For example, push ups are isometric for the back and present virtually no risk. Sit ups, on the other hand, carry risk and thus more risk. Trial and error will have more value than an MD

Pain: The sciatic nerve is a large nerve that is composed of many smaller nerves that come out of the lower back and run down each leg. They merge and separate like an interstate highway system. The nerve may be irritated by a spinal problem (herniated disc, spinal stenosis, arthritis), or a muscle spasm. In either case, sciatica is when the injured nerve causes pain going down the leg.
