Possibly: First off - 60% of us men between 20 - 49 years old are considered deficient - so 50 mg per day for a while is probably ok. Other sources, including institute of medicine, suggest no more than 40mg per day. Warning are for taking any more than 50 mg per day because it can interfere with copper metabolism. Try an excellent MVI (multivitamin) with both zinc, copper, plus other nutrients.
