A member asked:

I am 16 years old and spend a large amount of time studying or taking classes so my lifestyle is pretty sedentary. how much should i be eating?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Monitor yourself: Watch your weight, how your clothes fit, and how much you can pick up around your waist. If you're putting on fat, cut back total calories. Generally, eat sensibly -- avoid greasy / sugary / very salty stuff. Especially if you exercise even moderately, your body will start to tell you what's right for you. Observing yourself is much more helpful than counting calories. Best wishes.
