After poking abscess, left groin lymph node swelled, followed by lns throughout body. keflex took care of infection, but lns are still swollen! why?

Reactive nodes: The nodes process body fluid from the tissue and eliminate germs and debris before that fluid is returned to the circulation.It operates on an as needed basis, and once stimulated by infection will often remain swollen for 2-4 weeks before returning to resting size.
