Working full time: The glomeruli function as in-line filters to your bloodstream, receiving 22% of the cardiac output. This translates into ~ 1.1 liter of blood being filtered a minute (every minute). This high rate filtration system is overkill for the daily toxin load but serves us well by clearing toxic materials, however small in quantity, very quickly.

Cleansing of kidneys: You body does not cleanse the kidneys. On the contrary, they cleanse it. Normal kidneys work all the time, so they do not confine their cleansing between the hours you mentioned. The idea of cleansing the body by the kidneys being confined to 10 pm-2 am is not true.
