Ibuprofen and kidney: Ibuprofen (i) can cause acute renal failure (r) in certain patients, which is the bad news. The good news is that once i is stopped the kidneys revert to their baseline function. I can cause r in all patients, irregardless of their being on any, or no, medication. Speak to your doctor about the reasons you may need long term use of i.

Yes with caution: Yes there is an increased risk of renal problems with lisinoril/hctz and ibuprofen, this combination also reduces the effectiveness of lisinopril/hctz in control of blood pressure if taken in high doses for a long time. Occasional use is fine, for long term use, do so under the care of a physician who can monitor for side. Try tylenol (acetaminophen) it also resolve pain/headaches with none of above issues.
